Edmund Bendyssh is his kin and next heir, as the son of Alice daughter of Isabel, late wife of Thomas Bradefeld , daughter of Agnes daughter of Alice daughter of Philippa daughter of Alice sister of John father of William father of John father of John father of Robert Avenell . He is aged 30 and more.

Owing to the death of Edmund Avenell of Wiltshire, chevalier , and the minority of Robert, the following came to the hands of ‪ Richard II , and is still in the king’s hands. Crux Easton, the manor and advowson of the church there. Four assarts in the forest of Chute, worth 10s. 8½d. yearly, are part of the manor and held of the king in chief by 10s. 8½d. yearly, payable at Michaelmas at the castle of Winchester. The rest of the manor with advowson is truly worth 10 marks and held of the lord of Chute, namely John de Lisle, as of his manor of Chute by service of a pair of spurs, or 6d., payable at Michaelmas.
He died on 6 July 1387. Heir as 583.
