He held the manor etc. by demise of William Wenarde to Edmund and Alice, and to the heirs and assigns of Edmund. The grant was made by charter, shown to the jurors. He held no lands or tenements of the king in chief in demesne or service, nor more lands or tenements of any other.

He died on 30 May last. Elizabeth, Anne, and Cecily are his daughters and next heirs, and respectively aged 6 years, 3 years, and 1 year and 10 weeks.

They granted the manor etc. by charter to William Cheyne, knight , now deceased, and Cecily his wife, still living, and to the heirs of William in perpetuity. Edmund son and heir of William was thus seised by right of reversion. He granted the reversion to John Cheyne , his brother, and to the heirs of his body, with remainder to the right heirs of Edmund in perpetuity. Edmund made this grant by charter, shown to the jurors, and Cecily attorned to John by deed. He held no lands or tenements of the king in chief in demesne or service.

Birch, the manor, annual value 40s., held of the prior of Goldcliff , service unknown. Continues as 509+[1]. [3]+Long before his death, he was seised of the following in demesne as of fee. Yarcombe, a messuage, 60 a. land, 10 a. meadow, and 20 a. pasture at ‘le mersshe’, worth nothing yearly, held of the prioress of Syon , service unknown. He granted them to Thomas Kyngeston for life by service of one rose at Midsummer only,with reversion to Edmund and his heirs. The grant was made by charter in which the messuage etc. were described as all those lands and tenements at ‘le mersshe’ that were lately of Alice Kybbell .
