Edmund died a minor in the wardship of ‪ Henry IV , and Walter held of the heir of the late earl marshal, a minor in the wardship of ‪ Henry IV . The lands and tenements are in the custody of John Richeman, clerk , and Richard Simman , executors of the testament of John Wyssyngsete . Henry V had given custody to John Wyssyngsete with marriage of the heir. Inform the executors of the forthcoming proof of age. [Dorse:] John Richeman, clerk , and Richard Simman were informed.

The jurors swear that Thomas was aged 21 on 23 April last. He was born in Sotterley and baptised at the font of the church there on 23 April 1408. John Lovenham ,... [ms illegible], recalls that Thomas was aged 21 and more on 23 April last because he was in the church on the 23 April when Thomas was baptised by John Grys , then parson. He saw John Grys hold Thomas. William Woode , 59 years, held a lit candle in the church. Robert Smyth , 44 years, John Lece , 58 years, and Walter Welet , 47 years, came together to the church and met Margaret Cresby . She was carrying Thomas to the church for baptism. John Hewe , 58 years, Walter Quynte , 59 years, and Thomas Manhawe , 52 years, stood by the font, holding a towel during the baptism. John Baldewyn , 49 years, and William West , 46 years, were conversing in the churchyard with John Grys , then parson, when Margaret Cresby brought Thomas for baptism. Thomas Graunt , 53 years, and Thomas Herman , 44 years, held the basin used by Thomas’s godparents to wash their hands after the baptism.
