He held the following in demesne as of fee. Felmingham, 5/6 manor called ‘Felmynghamhalle’ in six, separate parcels in Felmingham, Skeyton, Tuttington, Banningham, Colby, and Suffield, held of the king in chief as five parts of ½ knight’s fee, with advowson of ¼ Felmingham church. The right of presentation to the church is as follows: presentation five times successively upon a times successively upon vacancy, with the right on the sixth time held by Nicholas Wychingham and his heirs and assigns. William Wychingham, knight , father of Nicholas who is his heir, presented Abraham Whitewell , his clerk, who has since died. John Whitewell then presented John London , his clerk. He is the present incumbent and the presentation was the first of five times in succession. Felmingham, Skeyton, Tuttington. In the vills, parcels of the manor, there is assize rent of 7s., payable at St Andrew the Apostle, Lady Day, Midsummer, and Michaelmas by equal parts; a court held every three weeks, worth 2s. yearly; and view of frankpledge, held once yearly with ‘Weif’ and ‘Stray’, liberty of faldage, and liberty of pasturing bull and boar as far as the Southrepps cross, worth 12d. yearly. There is also the following in these parcels of the manor. Felmingham. The site of the manor lies in the vill and there are various buildings enclosed by a ditch: a hall with chambers and attached cook-house, 2 granges, a bakehouse, vachery with stable, and dovecot, worth nothing yearly. There is also an adjacent enclosed pasture, worth 12d. yearly; 6 a. timber wood, its underwood worth 6d. yearly; and 80 a. arable demesne, each acre worth 6d. yearly. Felmingham and Skeyton, 60 a. arable held by villein tenants, their service and customs worth 10s. yearly, payable as above. Skeyton, 1 a. enclosed meadow, worth 8d. yearly. Tuttington, 2 a., 1 rood meadow, each acre worth 8d. yearly.
He died on 2 August last. Thomas Whitewell is his son and next heir, and aged 35 and more.
