He held the manor of Chute conjointly enfeoffed with Margery his wife, still living, by demise of Robert Balle, clerk , to John and Margery, and to the heirs of John. Chute, the manor, annual value £10, held of the abbot of Hyde , service unknown. He held the manor of Holt conjointly enfeoffed with Elizabeth, lately the wife of John de Lisle, knight , William Bremshut , William Alisaundre , and Henry Hawles , all still living, by demise of Eleanor, lately the wife of Amaury de Sancto Amando, knight , and to their heirs in perpetuity. Holt, the manor, [no value given], held of the abbess of Shaftesbury , service unknown. He held no other lands or tenements of the king or any other in demesne or service because, a long time before his death, by his charter shown to the jurors, he granted the manor of Pomeroy and all lands, tenements, rents, reversions, and services in Bradford-on-Avon, Hartley (Mortle), and Studley (Dudle), not held of the king in chief, to William Bremshut , John Conge, clerk , John Harryes , John Brynk, clerk , and Henry Hawles , and to their heirs and assigns in perpetuity. They continued in their estate for his lifetime and yet continue.

Chute, 42 a. assarted land within the forest of Chute, of no annual value above the rent for the same reasons as above, held of the king in chief by 14s. at Michaelmas, delivered by the sheriff. South Baddesley and Fritham, the manor with advowson of the chapel or chantry in South Baddesley, held of the king in chief by knight service. There are 100 a. arable, of which 60 a. may be sown yearly, as this year, and each sown acre worth only 6d. yearly owing to damage by the king’s beasts, and when not sown, each acre is worth nothing because depastured by the same beasts; 12 a. meadow, each acre worth 20d. yearly; 12 a. wood, worth nothing yearly because it lies in common in the forest; 3 free tenants, each rendering 5s. at Michaelmas only; and 8 tenants-at-will, each holding a messuage and a virgate, each rendering 8s. at Michaelmas. He also held to him and his heirs in perpetuity 2 views of frankpledge with assize of bread and ale and the other things that pertain to views of frankpledge, worth 2s. yearly; common pasture for all his animals, sheep, and pigs, quit of pannage, all year for him and his tenants; and a water-mill, worth 2 marks yearly, payable at Michaelmas. He held the following in demesne as of fee, conjointly enfeoffed with Margery his wife, still living, by demise of John de Lisle, knight , to them and the heirs of their bodies. Mainsbridge alias Swaythling, the manor, annual value £10, held of the abbot of Hyde , service unknown; Bathingbourne, the manor; Rew, the manor; Chalcroft, the manor; and Mainsbridge alias Townhill, the manor, held of Philippa, duchess of York , service unknown.
