He held the following in demesne as of fee. Cossall, the manor, held of ‪ Henry V in chief as of the honour of Peverel as ¼ knight’s fee. There are 7 ruinous messuages, worth nothing yearly; 100 a. arable, each acre worth 4d. yearly; 10 a. meadow, each acre worth 18d. yearly; 7 a. timber wood, worth nothing yearly; and 3s. 4d. rent, payable at the feast of the Invention of St Cross.
He died on 28 October 1415. Humphrey Skyvyngton is his son and next heir, and was aged 21 on 1 June last.
Since William’s death, John de Leek, esquire , has occupied the manor and taken its issues by virtue of letters patent issued by ‪ Henry V [CFR 1413–1422, p. 266]. The letters were shown to the jurors.
