   The confirmation was made by indented deed on <date type="grant" when="1411-05-01">1 May 1411</date> and he thereby granted the manor to them, and <estate type="fs">their heirs and assigns</estate>, to hold of the chief lords of that fee by due service, <condition>provided that if they, or their heirs and assigns, wish to hold the manor in mesne beyond the term of 17 years, they must render £200 yearly at <date>Easter</date> to him, and his heirs and assigns.</condition> <rs type="shownJurors">This appears more fully in the other part of the indenture shown to the jurors.</rs></grant>
                        The term of 17 years was complete on <date when="1428-05-01">1 May</date> last when the issues of <name type="manor" key="1118657/">Langford</name> manor fell due to <name type="person" key="https://ipm-stg.cch.kcl.ac.uk/django/eats/entity/2718905/">the king</name> because of the minority of <name type="person" key="2124733/">Thomas</name> his son and heir. <name type="person" key="2030739">
