By a fine of 1337 [quin. Mart., afterwards East. quin. 1338, CP 25/1/185/29 no.189], between Thomas son of Thomas de Bekeryng, chevalier , and Isabel his wife, through John de Misterton her attorney, quer. and Simon le Rous of Somersby and John de la More, chaplain , deforc., the latter granted the manor, which they had by gift of Thomas son of Thomas, to this Thomas and Isabel and the heirs of their bodies. Thomas son of Thomas and Isabel were seised in their demesne as of fee tail. Right in the manor descended according to the form of the gift from them to John Bekeryng, knight , as their son and heir, and from him to Thomas, named in the writ, as his son and heir. Thomas died seised of the manor in his demesne as of fee tail.
