He held of Henry V a derelict messuage, 80 a. arable, 4 a. meadow and 4 a. pasture in Almeley Wooton of his manor of Almeley in socage, annual value 8s.
He died on 1 September 1420. Thomas Wouton is his son and next heir, aged 30 years and more.
The messuage, arable, meadow and pasture remained in ‪Henry V‬ ’s hands by virtue of an inquisition held ex officio by John Russell, former escheator , because Thomas Wouton had been a fool and an idiot from birth. By virtue of this inquisition at Almeley, 9 September 1420, and returned to the Exchequer, John Russell occupied the lands and tenements from 1 September 1420 until 16 November 1421, and took the issues, answering to the Exchequer. They were subsequently occupied, and their issues taken, by John Monyngton, former escheator , until 16 November 1423; and Roger Shrigley until this 18 October 1425, by letters patent of ‪Henry VI [CCR 1422–30, p.64].
