He died seised in his demesne as of fee of the following. Ingoe, 3 husbandlands, held of ‪the king in chief by knight service, each worth 40d. yearly, total 10s. Bradford, a husbandland totally wasted, held of ‪the king as before, annual value nil because of the sterility of the district and the destruction by the Scots. Newton by the Sea, 2/3 of 1/2 of 1/2 manor, annual value 15s., and reversion of 1/3 of 1/2 of 1/2 manor which Agnes widow of Robert Hibburne , his father, holds in dower by endowment of Robert and of Thomas’s inheritance. Hebron, 2/3 of 1/2 manor, annual value 10s., and reversion of 1/3 of 1/2 manor held as before by Agnes. Earle, 2/3 of 1 1/2 husbandlands, 3 a. land, 1 1/2 a. meadow and of a water-mill, annual value nil because totally destroyed by the Scottish enemies of ‪the king; and reversion of 1/3 of the land, meadow and 1/2 mill [sic], held as before by Agnes. The 1/2 manors of Newton and Hebron and the moiety of this land, meadow and mill are held of ‪the king in chief by knight service. Earle, 2/3 of 1/2 of 2 carucates, 40 a. land and of 5 a. meadow, annual value nil for the same reasons; and reversion of 1/3 of 1/2 held as before by Agnes, held in socage of the barony of Wark by service of a rose at Midsummer. East Ditchburn, 2/3 of 1/2 of 8 husbandlands and of a water-mill, annual value nil for the same reasons; and reversion of 1/3 of 1/2 held as before by Agnes, held in socage of Lord de Bello Monte by service of a rose at Midsummer. He died on 1 July last. John Hibburne , his son, is his next heir, aged 5 years and more.
