895 Writ devenerunt ‡ 1 May 1422. [Wymbyssh]. Teste John, duke of Bedford. Addressed to the escheator in Norfolk and Suffolk, but endorsement of execution refers to only one inquisition. John, son and heir of John Inglesthorp, knight, who held of Henry V in chief, died a minor in the king's ward.

On the death of John Inglesthorp, knight , by reason of the minority of his son and heir Thomas the manor of East Raynham came into the king's hand, where it remains. There are in the manor 5 marks assize rents, 200 a. arable worth yearly 4d. an acre, 24 a. arable called `Hardlond' worth yearly 6d. an acre, a piece of land called `Harlond- hevedes' containing 6 a. worth yearly 5d. an acre, an inclosure next the church containing 6 a. pasture worth yearly 12d. an acre, an inclosure in South Raynham containing 4 a. pasture worth yearly 12d. an acre, 19 a. arable in East Raynham worth yearly 3d. an acre, and perquisites of court worth 3s. 4d. a year. The manor is held of the king in chief for 1/20 knight's fee.
He died on 22 Jan. 1422. Edmund Inglesthorp is his son and next heir, aged 6 months and more.

There are in the manor certain buildings, annual value nil, 100 a. arable worth yearly 4d. an acre, 20 a. meadow worth yearly 20d. an acre, 6 cottages each worth 16d. yearly, and 100 a. moor, annual value 16s.
