He held no lands, tenements, rents or services of the king or another, but long before he died was seised in his demesne as of fee of the manor of `Tabelereshalle' in Shipley, West Grinstead and Thakeham, held of the earl of March , service unknown, and by his charter, shown to the jurors, dated at Shipley 27 July 1419 granted it to John Arundell, Lord Arundel and Mautravers, John Burgh, esquire , William Ryman and Philip Marchall , who were seised. There are in the manor the site, annual value nil, 160 a. arable worth yearly 6d. an acre, 3 a. meadow worth yearly 8d. an acre and 19s. assize rents.
He died on 15 Jan. 1422. John Beynton is his son and next heir, aged 16 years on 20 May last.

He held the manor of Faulston jointly with his wife Joan, who survives, by demise of John Bushell, chaplain , John Bullok, chaplain , and John Stone, rector of Berwick St. John . The manor, annual value £20, is held of the bishop of Winchester , service unknown. He also held in his demesne as of fee of the bishop, service unknown, the manor of Nether Wroughton, annual value 5 marks above 6s. 8d. granted to John Skoryer for life and 13s. 4d. granted to Nicholas Wotton for life. He also held in his demesne as of fee 4 messuages in Salisbury, annual value 40s., of the bishop of Salisbury , service unknown, and devised them by will to Joan and her heirs in fee simple. He held no other lands or tenements because long before his death he granted the manor of Compton Chamberlayne, held of the king in chief for 1/4 knight's fee, to Robert Forster , Robert Pokeswelle , John Whithorn and John Gylbard , who were seised. After Nicholas's death by their indenture of 4 Jan. 1422 they demised it to Joan for life, reversion to Nicholas's son and heir John Beynton and the heirs of his body, reversion to Agnes Beynton , Alice Beynton , Eleanor Beynton and Isabel Beynton , daughters of Nicholas and Joan, and the heirs of their bodies, remainder to the right heirs of Nicholas. By letters patent of 20 Feb. 1422 [19 Feb. 1422: CPR 1416-22, p. 411], for £10 paid in the hanaper, the feoffees were pardoned for alienating the manor without the king's licence.
