The 1/3 manor of Edgmond and 2/3 of the 1/3 are held undivided by James, Lord Audley , and Elizabeth wife of Richard de Hankeforde, esquire , sister and heir of Fulk Fitzwaryn . The entire manor of Edgmond with the town of Newport are held of the king in chief by service of a mewed sparrow-hawk for all services. He also held the manors of Leighton and Weston in the march of Wales of the inheritance of his wife Alice, who survives, annual value 10 marks. The manors are held of the earl of Stafford of the castle of Caus, service unknown. Thomas le Warre, clerk , brother and heir of John la Warre, knight , and John Overton were seised in their demesne as of fee of the manor of Albrighton and granted it for life by a fine levied oct. Purification 1404 [CP 25/1/195/20, no. 20], shown to the jurors in evidence, to Richard Wolmere , who survives, remainder to Hugh Holes , Roger Horton and Thomas Thorneburgh , already dead, Henry de Bircheles and the heirs of Hugh for ever. Hugh died seised of the reversion of the manor and it descended to his son and heir Thomas according to the form of the fine. The manor is held of the king in chief by knight service, annual value £20.

James de Audeley, lord of Heighley , was formerly seised of the manors of Monnington on Wye and Dilwyn and granted them to Nicholas de Audele, knight , his wife Elizabeth and the heirs of their bodies, remainder to James and his heirs for ever. James married Joan Mortimer and had issue Nicholas and two daughters, Joan and Margaret. James afterwards died and Nicholas survived him and died without heirs of his body, after which the manors remained to John Tochet, knight , Margaret wife of Roger Hillary and Fulk Fitzwaryn as James's next heirs, i.e. John Tochet as son of John son of Joan daughter of James, Margaret sister of Joan and the other daughter of James by his first wife Joan, and Fulk as son of Fulk son of Margaret daughter of James by his second wife Isabel. A fine was levied mor. All Saints 1391 [CP 25/1/289/56, no. 225] between Robert, bishop of London , Reynold de Grey of Ruthin, knight , John Markam , Hugh de Holes named in the writ [sic] and John Woderove , quer., and Roger Hillary and his wife Margaret, def., of 1/3 manors of Monnington on Wye and Dilwyn, by which Roger and Margaret acknowledged the 1/3 manors to be the right of Hugh. Elizabeth widow of Nicholas de Audele, knight , held the 1/3s for life of the inheritance of Margaret and they are now to revert to Robert, bishop of London , etc., and the heirs of Hugh. Elizabeth and John Woderove afterwards died and Robert, bishop of London , etc., were seised according to the form of the fine. Robert and John Markam died and Reynold and Hugh were seised jointly of the 1/3, Reynold of his free tenement and Hugh in his demesne as of fee. By a deed shown to the jurors and dated 20 April 1410 Reynold quitclaimed his right to Hugh and his heirs. Hugh died and was succeeded by his son and heir Thomas, who died seised. The 1/3 and 2/3 of 1/3 were held undivided by James, Lord Audley , and Elizabeth wife of Richard Hankeford, esquire , sister and heir of Fulk Fitzwaryn , and 1/3 manor of Monnington is held of the earl of Warwick of the honor of Colwyn by knight service. There are in the 1/3, 1/3 capital messuage, annual value nil because it is wasted and ruinous, 90 a. arable, annual value 40s., 12 a. meadow, annual value 12s., 60 a. arable in a close called `le park', annual value nil, 1/3 pasture called the common moor belonging to the manor of Monnington, annual value nil because the tenants have common of pasture in it throughout the year, 27s. assize rents paid yearly at the Annunciation and Michaelmas in equal portions, 6 cottages and 12 a. arable belonging to them which are leased to various tenants at will paying [?24s.] at the above terms, and 1/3 water-mill, annual value 30s. The 1/3 manor of Dilwyn is held of the duchy of Lancaster by service of 1/30 knight's fee. There are in the 1/3, 1/3 capital messuage, annual value nil because it is wasted and ruinous, [?100] a. arable, annual value 27s., 9 a. meadow, annual value 6s., 12 a. wood, annual value nil, 120 a. pasture, annual value 10s., £4 assize rents paid at the above terms, and 18 cottages and 36 a. arable belonging to them leased to various tenants at will paying 18s. yearly at Christmas and the Nativity of St. John the Baptist in equal portions.
