He was seised in his demesne as of fee of a messuage, a carucate and 12 a. meadow in Levedale held of Humphrey , son and heir of Edmund, earl of Stafford , a minor in the king's wardship, annual value 48s.; 2 messuages, 100 a. arable and 18 a. meadow in Longridge held of the dean of Penkridge of the collegiate church of Penkridge, service unknown, annual value 4 marks 6s.; a messuage, 20 a. arable, 6 a. meadow and 3 a. wood in Cowley held of Richard de Knyghtley of the manor of Wilbrighton for 8s. yearly, annual value 24s.; a messuage, 24 a. arable and 3 a. meadow in Broom held of the prioress of Brewood of her priory called `Whiteladyes' of Brewood, service unknown, annual value 6s.; 3 burgages in Stafford, annual value 6s. each, held of the bailiff of the borough of Stafford by service of free burgage of the borough, and the bailiffs hold the borough for a fee-farm paid yearly at the Exchequer.
He died on 23 Aug. last. John Stafford is his son and next heir, aged 4 years and more.
