He was seised in demesne as of fee of the manor of Heydon called `Heydonbury' and a messuage called `Shenefeldes' in Heydon and Great Chishill until 28 June last when Robert Darcy , sheriff of Essex, by virtue of the king's writ released the manor and messuage, extended at £8 yearly, to William Rede and Edward Mille , citizens of London, executors of the will of Richard Brendwode , citizen and clothier of London, formerly executor of the will of John Fourneys or Fourneux, citizen and clothier of London, formerly executor of the will of Adam Fraunceys , citizen and mercer of London , to hold to William and Edward for £40 which John Kelshull , merchant of Boston, Adam Fraunceys and John Pyte, clerk , acknowledged on 1 Dec. 1360 before John Pyell, mayor of the staple at Westminster for acknowledging debts , that they ought to pay on 15 May 1361. By their indenture dated 3 July last William and Edward granted the manor and messuage to Stephen Colle , Solomon Oxeneye , citizens and goldsmiths of London, Robert Fitzrobert junior and William Garnet on condition that they or their assigns paid the £40. Annual value of both the manor, held of the king in chief, service unknown, and of the messuage, held of the earl of Stafford , service unknown, £8.
He died on 26 Aug. last. Nicholas Wilteshire is his son and next heir, aged 12 years and more.
