He held 2/3 manor of Runham divided into 1/3s called `Dandes' and `Byllyngeys', the whole manor being held of the king in chief in socage by fealty and by service of rendering to the king yearly at Norwich two measures of wine and 200 pearmains when the king comes there. In the 2/3 manor there are a messuage that has been built on, annual value nil, 120 a. arable worth 8d. an acre yearly, 20 a. marsh worth 3d. an acre, and 13s. 4d. assize rents yearly. There also belong to the 2/3 manor 2/3 court and view of frankpledge in the townships of Runham and Rackheath, annual value 10s. He also held a messuage in the township of Runham, annual value nil, 50 a. arable worth 8d. an acre, and 12s. assize rents in the township of Runham called `merkesales', all held of Elizabeth widow of John Rothenale, knight , of her manor of Ormesby by fealty, by service of 14d. yearly and suit at her three-weekly court of Ormesby manor. He also held a messuage and 7 a. arable worth 8d. an acre in the township of Runham called `Tounesendes', also held of Elizabeth of her manor of Ormesby, service unknown, annual value nil.
He died 11 Aug. last. William Clere , his son and next heir, is aged 8 years and more.
