He held the manors of Tremodrett, Trevillian and Trefreock in fee tail. Herbert Skewyek held them in his demesne as of fee and gave them to Otes de Bodrugan, knight , and his heirs male lawfully begotten on the body of his wife Margaret, with remainders if he died without such heirs successively to his heirs male of his own body and then to his right heirs. He held in fee tail in such form and had issue by Margaret, William and Otes. William entered and died without an heir male of his body. They descended to Otes as brother and heir under the entail. He had issue Joan, now the wife of Robert Hulle senior , and died without male issue. Thus Otes the father had no surviving male issue of either Margaret's or his own body. Joan is the daughter and next heir by blood of Otes named in the writ, begotten of his body, and the heir of Otes the father by virtue of the entail. Tremodrett manor was held of ‪ Richard II of the duchy of Cornwall at the death of Otes by 3 knight's fees and by a fine of 5s. at the stannary at Michaelmas, annual value £7; Trevillian of John Hille in socage of the manor of Penare of the duchy of Cornwall, annual value £5. The rest was held of Edward Courtenay, earl of Devon .
He died on 1 Sept. 1389. Joan was then aged 30 years and more.
Richard Sergeaux, knight , and John Shireston held the manors from 1 Sept. 1389 to 29 Sept. 1393. From that date Alice, countess of Oxford , John Shireston and Thomas Warner, knight , held until Michaelmas 1404.

269 Writ plenius certiorari 7 July 1419 [Wymbyssh]. Teste John, duke of Bedford. Recites findings of a 1417 inquisition before John Fortescu, late escheator in Cornwall CIPM XX, no. 646, inter alia that 'Ferbert de Akewyek' [sic] granted the manors of Tremodrett and Trevelyn with other lands to Otes de Bodrugan, knight , in tail, and that the manors descended to Joyce, now the wife of Robert Hull senior . Robert and his wife have alleged that she is named Joan and not Joyce, that it was Herbert Skewyek and not the Ferbert Akewyek who granted the manors, and that before the inquisition was returned to Chancery the names Joan and Herbert Skewyek were scraped off and Joyce and Ferbert Akewyek substituted, to their great damage [the 1417 inquisition presently on file, C 138/23/53 m. 25, in fact refers to Joan and Herbert Skewyek and does not appear to have been altered as alleged]. Inquire as to the names of the wife and the grantor, and as to Joan's age.

The wife of Robert Hull was called Joan, not Joyce (Josia), and Herbert Skewyek gave the manors of Tremodrett and Trevelyn with other manors etc. in Cornwall to Otes de Bodrugan, knight , and his heirs male by his wife Margaret, remainders successively to his heirs male of his body and then to his heirs of his body. Ferbert de Akewyek did not give them to Otes the father and his heirs by Margaret, nor was there ever any Ferbert de Akewyek known or heard of in the county.
Otes de Bodrugan son of Otes de Bodrugan, knight , died on 1 Sept. 1389. Joan is the daughter and heir of Otes son of Otes, and was aged about 30 years and more at her father's death.
