He held the manor and advowson of Abington jointly with Mary, his wife, who survives him, by the grant of John Love, clerk , and William Hercy , by their charter dated at Abington on 25 May 1415 and shown to the jurors, to them with successive remainders to the heirs of their bodies, the heirs of the body of Thomas, and Nicholas and his heirs. It is held of the king in chief by knight service, annual value £20. Similarly they held the manor of Great Billing by a fine of 1411 [CP 25/1/179/91, no. 97] by which John Love and William Hercy granted it to Nicholas and Mary for their lives with remainder to Margaret Holand, countess of Somerset , Henry Merston, clerk , Robert Frampton , John Blunvile and the heirs of Margaret. It is not held of the king , but of whom and by what service is unknown, annual value 20 marks. He held the manor of Cosgrove for life by the grant of Thomas late earl of Warwick , with reversion to Richard de Bello Campo , earl of Warwick , son and heir of Thomas. It is not held of the king but of whom and by what service is unknown, annual value £13 6s.8d.
He died on 8 Feb. [sic Mon. after Candlemas] last. John Bernard is his grandson and heir, son of Elizabeth his daughter, aged 24 years and more.
