When the king leaves the palace he takes the fuel and bedding remaining in the chambers and the hay in the stables, and when the king repairs the houses there all the old timber, tiles and other materials. From every merchant with stall or shop in the palace he takes 12d. a quarter. The whole annual value is £10.</ab>
