                  <ab>Recites the assignment of 1408 [<ref target="CIPM-DOC-19-483"><hi rend="italic">CIPM</hi> XIX, no. 483</ref>]. <name type="person"><name type="forename">William</name> <name type="surname">Clynton</name></name>, who married Anne, and Anne herself, complain that she is insufficiently dowered because the assignment, made in general words as given above, is not properly valid (<hi rend="italic">satis valida non existit</hi>) so that ... distrain for non-payment of rents not assigned in special; and William and Anne do not have any notice of their tenants ... so that the ministers of the other two parts of the lordships ... profits pertaining to William and Anne by reason of her dower. Order for assignment to be made parcel by parcel or, with the assent of the parties, in gross and by metes and bounds (<hi rend="italic">parcellatim vel de assensu partium in grosso` et per metas et bundas</hi>) and with the names of tenants.</ab>
