Regarding CIM VII no. 393, which found that she held in dower ½ manor of Newton in Cleveland, 2 messuages, 3 cottages and 16 bovates in Boynton, and a messuage, cottage, close and 5 bovates in Snainton, by assignment of Henry de Boynton, with reversion to him and the heirs of his body; he, on 20 July 1405 rebelled at Berwick upon Tweed and kept the castle against the king. Inquire by whom the manors etc. were granted and to whom; of whom they are held; and who is Henry’s next heir.

and Alice his wife, Ingram’s daughter, and the heirs of their bodies. From them they descended to Ingram their son, William his son, Thomas his son, Thomas his son and Henry his son, who assigned the premises to Margaret widow of the younger Thomas in dower, with other lands and tenements in Newton in Cleveland and Snainton.
Henry died on 20 July 1405 and the reversion descended to Thomas his son and heir who is aged 12 years and no more.
The premises in Boynton are held of

of her manor of Barmston by homage, relief and fealty and a payment of 3/4d. for each bovate for ‘shirrifgild’ and castle guard. When Margaret died
