He also held in his demesne as of fee 2 tenements in Cawston and Oulton of the
earl of Suffolk
of his manor of Cawston
by a rent of 8s., annual value 40s.
He died on 28 July 1401 . John is his son and next heir, aged 8 years and more, in the king’s ward because of the minority of the
earl of Kent
